Since
1978 John Norris has been photographing a wide range of military subjects,
ranging from historical sites to contemporary topics. During this time
he has started taking the services offered by his photographic library
into new directions and gathering early original images from a number
of sources, some of which are from the mid-Victorian period. The files
held by Historical Features and Photos Agency covers a comprehensive series
of subject matters, with thousands of images ranging from Classic Greece
and Roman Empire, through to late nineteenth century architecture, fashion
and military topics.
Through
his work as a military historian and photographer, John Norris has amassed
a selection of modern military equipment, including artillery, armoured
fighting vehicles (tanks and personnel carriers), small arms, aircraft
( including helicopters) and a small but selective range of naval weaponry
and ships.
The
files of Historical Features and Photos Agency hold a selection of historical
sites including castles and fortifications. In some cases, historical
images from the nineteenth century or Second World War can be supported
by modern photographs, which have a greater clarity and can be used to
show its transition over time.
The
range of images within the files of Historical Features and Photos Agency
is being added to all the time and includes subject matter which can all
be cross-referenced in order to compliment a particular topic. For example,
the Tudors will produce the six wives of King Henry VIII, Elizabeth I,
Spanish Armada and Queen Mary. The Stuarts will produce the English Civil
War, the Restoration, the abdication of King James II and the coming of
King William and Queen Anne in 1688.
Historical
Features and Photos will also undertake commissions and will provide a
full written quotation, with a full breakdown of expenses, in response
to a customer's enquiry. For a full list of subject matter and terms,
please contact Historical Features and Photos Agency, we will be happy
to discuss your needs and supply a range of images for consideration.
Our files are continuously being expanded and added to as we endeavour
to cover all areas and aspects of history.
